WHY IS OUR COMPANY BORN?
Climate change is one of the great challenges we face as humanity. The generation of industrial waste is one of the serious environmental problems that the planet is going through, driven by rapid urbanization and population growth. The annual generation of waste worldwide is expected to increase by over 70% in the next 30 years, Currently there are no technologies that allow efficient treatment of these industrial waste.
Among the industrial waste is metal scrap, generated by End-of-life Vehicles (ELV) scrap yards, mining industries, industrial machinery, building structures, ships, containers and railroad industries among others. These wastes are usually stored in landfills, generating a great impact on the environment, in people's health, in the flora and fauna.
Currently there are no technologies and / or procedures that completely eliminate the waste generated by metal scrap without generating polluting waste and that are friendly with the environment.
Due to the above, at Rudanac Biotec we have developed a unique patented process worldwide that allows the biodesintegration of metal scrap, using microorganisms that feed on the metal without generating polluting waste, it is friendly to the environment, profitable, scalable and easy to implement.
The product generated after the biodesintegration of the metal has several applications, among which the following stand out: Increasing copper recovery in the mining industry, metal elements are recovered, replaces the shot blasting process and removes the oxidized layer on metal structures.

Our technology is called "SPIROMET", is a biotechnological solution that allows the biodesintegration of scrap metal and the generation of multiple products with the following applications:
Bioleaching: It generates a highly oxidizing solution that improves copper recovery from sulfides (primary, secondary and mixed).
Bio-recovery: By biodisintegrating the non-recyclable scrap metal, a solution with recyclable metal elements is generated.
Bio-blasting: One of the applications of the product generated after the biodisintegration of metal scrap that allows replacing the conventional process of shot blasting of metal structures.
